Phoenix Contact Inc. (www.phoenixcon.com) has rolled out the RAD-ISM-...-BD, an integrated radio and I/O module with expandable I/O options. Designed to eliminate cable and conduit for analog and digital signals in industrial environments, the RAD-ISM-...-BD utilizes spread spectrum frequency hopping techniques for a license- and interference-free link between remote devices and the control room. It also features an in-plant range of 600-1,000 ft with no line-of-sight, and requires a 12-30V dc power source.
