A recent video by Fox 10 Phoenix clearly demonstrates that the technology used in the Super Bowl broadcast can hold its own against any high-tech command center. The $200 million Fox Tech Center in Tempe, AZ, is the operations center for all Fox broadcasts that takes on added importance at major events such as the Super Bowl.

The center is run by Jeff Dow, EVP of Media and Broadcast Operations, whose background includes cybersecurity. His employees are tech-savvy, with skills that could land them at tech firms in Silicon Valley and other tech hubs.

The building has over 2,000 screens and has enough wire to wrap around the world twice. It also has three huge generators that kick in should power issues arise.

For the Super Bowl, the center created technology such as the first down markers and is responsible for ensuring broadcast is seamlessly sent out over thousands of video streams.
