Makers can win Arduino store credit or an Arduino Opla IoT kit for project ideas.

Arduino is in search of fresh project ideas for its new Opla internet of things kit that uses the Arduino Cloud for connected services. The idea is simple: Show off your most inspired, innovative connected project ideas using the Arduino Cloud.

Hurry, the deadline for your idea is Jan. 23. Once all the entries are in, Arduino will sift through to identify the top 100 proposals. Those makers will get a free Opla IoT kit to actually build their idea.

They’ll have six weeks to get that done, so that the winners can be announced during Arduino Week, March 21-26.

Projects can target any of five specific areas of interest:

  • home automation
  • leisure
  • outdoor
  • multimedia
  • lighting

For inspiration, take a look at the videos showing an Arduino Cloud homemade cocktail mixer or the one that provides online control of a space heater. Enter the competition here. The prizes are $1,000, $500, and $250 to spend on the Arduino Store.

Good luck, we can’t wait to see what you come up with!
