Whiie products such as mobile phones and large flat-screen TVs are a staple in the majority of today’s households, history is replete with consumer electronics devices that never caught on with a gadget-hungry populace. Whether it was high cost, technical issues, lack of proper marketing, or simply the fact that better alternatives were available, there have been many consumer electronics products that faded into oblivion and are likely gathering dust if they are still around. 

Some of the devices that follow in the gallery are probably familiar to most people. But some are so obscure that only the most dedicated techno-geeks would recognize them.
