In Europe, Coca Cola announced that they will begin making local deliveries with electric trucks.

In a partnership with Renault trucks, Coca Cola will start using 30 electric trucks to make last mile deliveries to local customers in Belgium. The goal is for these trucks to each cover 200 km daily, a number which represents 40% of the Coca Cola’s European local delivery routes.  To do this, Coca Cola is employing Renault’s  E-tech D and D Wide trucks into their fleet, which represents a 7 million euro investment on their part.

Uniquely, Coca Cola is claiming that these trucks will be charged overnight using 100% green energy which is generated directly at the charging site.
