Clemson University is establishing a 400-acre International Center for Automotive Research (www.clemson.edu/autoresearch). The campus will comprise a graduate engineering program and research and testing facilities, including automotive electronics and crash-worthiness labs, a full-scale wind tunnel, and a fuels lab, which will emphasize hydrogen research. Halfway between Charlotte and Atlanta, the center is in a corridor home to two thirds of the nation's motorsports race teams.
