Friday Funny: Dude Dad’s 5 Stages of Working from Home

Working from home seems like a great idea at first...

As someone who has worked from home for 22 years, the COVID-19 period has been a fun time to watch the travails of amateur remote workers.

For my first few years, I had little kids at home. Even though we had pre-school and kindergarten going on, that was only 3.5 hours per day. Can’t tell you how many meetings and interviews I did with Johnny Bravo or Powerpuff Girls roaring in the background.

So, I feel for workers like Dude Dad, but, mostly, I think it’s a riot watching the new work-from-home generation go cross-eyed.

Rob Spiegel has covered automation and control for 19 years, 17 of them for Design News. Other topics he has covered include supply chain technology, alternative energy, and cyber security. For 10 years, he was owner and publisher of the food magazine Chile Pepper.
