PC for Harsh Environments

B&RIndustrial Automation's Panel PC 725 is a robust and well-protected HMIsolution for use directly on the machine. Installation on a support arm systempermits a flexible mounting position and ergonomic operation, even in tightspaces. With IP65 protection from all sides, the housing holds up well in harshenvironmental conditions, for example with dust and sprayed water.

Theintegrated 15 inch touch screen display provides an intuitive human machineinterface. Equipped with an Intel Atom N270 processor, the Panel PC 725 ispredestined for all standard PC applications, such as SCADA systems. Throughthe low power loss of the Atom design, the PC housing can be smooth - withoutheat sink fins.

Thecombination of higher processing power and lower consumption allows a fan-freesystem. All components that require special cooling, such as processor andchipset, are positioned so that the heat is distributed directly over thehousing. When using CompactFlash cards, the Panel PC 725 does not have anyrotating parts for a long lifespan.

The Panel PC725 provides users with extensive PC resources. With two Ethernet interfaces, two USB 2.0 interfaces and one serial interface, communication is ensured onthe machine level and in the plant network.

PanelPCs with IP65 protection normally use expensive IP65 connectors, but thecabling on the Panel PC 725 is handled via the flange so standard cables can beused. The battery and CompactFlash cards are behind a separate cove for easierservice.
