Ultrasonic modules

This company's latest ultrasonic modules are designed to allow OEMs to integrate seaming, splitting, crosscutting, and trimming functions into bonding machines for the textile industry. The products incorporate features from the company's standalone bonding machines, and are said to provide greater flexibility and increased efficiency over other assembly operations.

Toolholders

Thermolock(TM)Shrink Fit toolholders for a number of different toolholding applications are now available. Heat is used to load and unload the cutting tool, a design which is said to provide maximum tool gripping strength and machining accuracy. The products are engineered to provide a high degree of balance and improved performance at high speeds and with extremely hard materials.

Lock receptacles

S MT surface mount mini-door lock receptacles are designed to allow repeated insertion and withdrawal with high resistance to deformation, even when other components are misaligned or out of tolerance. The product is said to provide good PCB-to-PCB, PCB-to-fuse, and PCB-to-terminal connections. The company also says the product stands up to repeated mating cycles, shock, vibration, and temperature cycling.

Vinyl plugs

A full line of vinyl dip and rubber injection molded caps, plugs, grips, and custom items is manufactured by this company for automotive and other applications. Adhesive

T ra-Bond 2101 is said by its manufacturer to be an all purpose adhesive for bonding or laminating a variety of materials, including metals, ceramics, wood, glass, leather, and rigid plastics. The product is a medium viscosity, two part epoxy adhesive system which can be mixed and cured at room temperature to 85D hardness. When cured, the product is said to be an electrical insulator and resistant to moisture and chemicals.

Rivet nuts

S pintite(TM)and MaxTite(TM)threaded rivet nuts are designed for blind attachment applications where only one side of a workpiece is accessible for fastener installation and final component assembly. Ear clamps

S tepless ear clamps from this company are said to provide a 360 degrees seal through a patented tongue and groove design that leaves no steps, gaps, or unbridged parts on the inner circumference of the clamp. Lift table

Manipulator

Dowel system

M etalignerexpanding dowels are designed to replace dowel pins in situations where in-field assembly and disassembly of precision sections is desired. The product is available in inch and metric sizes, and is said to be easily inserted and removed from blind holes, and is said to eliminate the need for knockout holes in die shoes, pump assemblies, and other machine parts. Applications include jigs, fixtures, machine sections, die steels, and gears/sheaves on shafts.

Flexible adhesive

E P21TDC-7 is a two-component flexible epoxy adhesive which its maker says bonds rubber without surface preparation. The product is said to cure at room temperature, and after curing has a high T-peel strength of 40pli and an elongation of more than 300%. The product can be applied to natural rubber, neoprene, nitrile, and SBR rubber compounds, as well as metal and plastic.

Aluminum joining

A punch and a die are used in this company's system to join lightweight metal components without heat or electricity. The system is said to form a mechanical interlock in a single stroke of a press to join aluminum to aluminum, or aluminum to steel. The manufacturer also says the tools can be incorporated into portable or stationary units, robotic units, die sets, or multi-point setups.

S eries WRF Automotive frame clamps are designed to clamp and hold truck frames during the welding process. The product is said to improve upon standard hydraulic systems by increasing work environment safety, and decreasing system and maintenance costs.
