Nvidia All in On AI and the Metaverse

At annual GTC event, computing giant unveils slew of hardware and software advances aimed at developers of AI- and Metaverse-based systems .

Semiconductor supplier Nvidia has a long history in developing chips for gaming applications, but gaming chips were nowhere in the discussion during the company’s GTC Keynote. Instead, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang made several hardware and software announcements related to Nvidia’s efforts to speed high-speed computing to expedite the development of AI and metaverse applications. Huang was particularly bullish on the rapid emergence of generative AI, which has come under controversy but has shown the promise to solve a multitude of problems.
