Hollow-shaft stepping motor provides flexible packaging solutions for tight system integration. The hollow shaft, available up to 5/8-inch ID, allows access through the central axis of the motor. The size 23 single-stack dc stepping motor measures 2.25 inches diameter X 2 inches long. Bidirectional, the motor is based on a 1.8-degree step with position accuracy of plus or minus 3% non-cumulative. Peak torque is 50 oz-inches. Electrical and optical cables can pass through motors in applications such as medical instruments, graphics, X-Y and rotary-positioning, and robotics equipment.
