Spring selection made easy

When selecting from more than 30,000 springs, precision stampings, electrical contacts, components, and assemblies, specifying engineers must have access to an efficient and flexible reference system. Associated Spring's catalog of Stock Precision Engineered Components (SPEC) allows quick identification of the right spring for a given application. Better still, users have the option of exporting graphics and product data directly to a CAD program.

Available on compact disk, SPEC Select II features familiar Windows-style routines and a logical progression of options that encourages browsing and cross referencing.

Engineers simply define the parameters of the spring required by performance, as well as dimensions, using either the on-screen diagram or the adjacent text. The SPEC Select system will automatically and instantly highlight the option most closely aligned with the specified criteria.

Should a customer have a spring sample that needs to be identified, it's a simple matter of inputting the measurements and type of material--details of the nearest standard equivalent product will appear on screen. Once the appropriate spring has been selected, the order can be placed using a print-out of the relevant screen.

Copies of the new CD catalog are available from Associated Spring/Raymond, 1705 Indian Wood Circle, Suite 210, Maumee, OH 43537; Tel: 419 891 9292, FAX: 419 891 9879.
