Mechanical-drive components

All-metric mechanical-drive components include gears, belt and chain drives, shafts, shaft accessories, bearings, couplings, and proximity switches. All components adhere to the following parameters: module 5 gears or finer, 20-mm shafts or smaller, and 15W devices or less. Handbook of Metric Drive Components, Catalog 777 covers design theory, calculations, and tables for designing spur, internal, helical, screw, and bevel and worm gears.

Gauges

Series 136B master ring and disc comparators are laboratory-grade gauges for in-house industrial metrology labs, gauge makers, and independent calibration services. Gauges provide surveillance of primary and secondary standards to microinch/submicron levels of accuracy. A floating-frame mechanism ensures true point-to-point gaging. Brochure includes detailed schematics, information on a gauge block-alignment assembly, and various jaw sizes and configurations.

Emitters

High-light-output aluminum indium gallium phosphide (AlInGaP) LED emitters are available in red-orange and amber, and are available with wide and medium viewing angles. These LEDs meet automotive-performance-degradation standards with lifetimes of 5,000 hours at a 70 mA operating current. The low-profile super-flux LED package features precise optical alignment and can be coupled with reflectors to distribute light and provide a variety of illumination effects.

Alarms/transmitters

IntelliPack family of smart alarms and transmitters feature universal inputs and outputs. IntelliPacks are configured using Windows 95/NT software and are field- adjustable using standard calibration equipment. Catalog includes information on control technologies and educational notes for process instrumentation, data acquisition, and distributed I/O applications.

Terminal/connector blocks

Catalog provides technical information on product families including the EuroMate(TM) terminal block and Eurostyle(reg) header. The catalog covers wire-to-wire and pluggable wire-to-PCB terminal blocks, and connector blocks. Also featured are in-depth product descriptions and feature listings, as well as product-ratings charts, technical specifications, and design information.

Sensors

Dynamic load-cell family of sensors address dynamic force measurements, deliver 1% accuracy, and weigh less than 1.5 oz. The sensors are characterized by extremely low deflection, low profile, and frequency response up to 40 kHz. Features include an operating temperature range from 20 to 300F and overload limits up to 200% full scale. The low-profile Model DLN has an overall thickness of 0.19 inches and is available in compression-only ranges up to 1,000 lbs. Model DLS is for higher capacities up to 10,000 lbs, and measures impact forces and dynamic loads.

Sensotec Inc., 2080 Arlingate Lane, Columbus, OH 43228.

Transmitter

The Model 657-1 relative humidity and temperature transmitter includes two 2-wire circuits to simultaneously produce separate 4-20 mA output signals for relative humidity from 0-100% and temperature from 32 to 212F. Accuracy for humidity is ±2% from 10-90% and for temperature it is ±1F over the full range. The control operates both channels from a single 10-35V dc power supply wired into the relative-humidity current loop. The probe included with the transmitter features an integrated, polymer film, and a relative-humidity sensor plus a separate thin-film platinum sensor for temperature measurement.

Switches

P Series of pushbutton switches feature various levels of sealing, up to watertight that will withstand direct water spray and submersion, protection to vandal-proof levels, and extreme shock and vibration tolerance. The switches are targeted for severe conditions found in aviation, marine, medical, heavy equipment, and industrial control applications. Data sheet includes product specifications and photographs.

Inspection instrument

The Horizon 14B horizontal comparator inspection instrument features accurate measuring and inspection over a magnification range of 5x to 200x, on its 14-inch ground glass screen with etched crossline. Brochure describes product and offers information on special features. Also included are product specifications and system diagrams.

Control system

The BeamSafe(reg) II safety control system consists of one transmitter and one receiver, and no interconnecting cables or separate control enclosures are required. Four separate visible indicators, mounted on the receiver, provide instant information on system clear, blocked, or interlocked status conditions, as well as signal strength. Additional diagnostic indicators on the receiver provide codes to assist with trouble shooting. To enhance immunity to weld flash and ambient light, the BeamSafe's infrared light beam is coded, with four possible transmit codes, which also eliminate interference from other BeamSafe units installed in close proximity.
