June 3 - Day 2: Design Considerations for Manufacturability

This class presents an evaluation of material options as well as performance factors that impact the design and engineering of additive parts. Following the prototyping stage, material choice and part geometry have to be finalized, in addition to production planning and manufacturing process selection. You'll learn how a 3D-printed concept evolves into a functional prototype for form and fit testing and then into a final part that is suitable for increased production.
