Tyco Electronics Increases Current Capacity of the Corcom C Series of Power Entry Modules to 15A

ELECTRONICS: Tyco Electronics has increased the current carrying capacity of its Corcom C Series of power entry modules by including a new non-filtered module rated at 15A. The module combines an IEC 60320-1 C14 power inlet with a Double-Pole, Single-Throw (DPST) on/off rocker switch in a compact package that allows for smaller panel cutouts. The product specifically supports applications that require a high current capacity in compact modules.

Available in two mounting styles —snap-in or flange— the non-filtered modules are ideal for the computer, consumer electronics, appliance, instrumentation and medical equipment markets. The 15A module was tested by Underwriters Laboratories to US and Canadian requirements and received VDE approval at 10 Amps and 250V ac.

The Corcom C Series power entry modules offer a wide range of options including non-filtered, general-purpose filtering and medical-application filtering.
