The Ritz-Carlton ballroom will be the backdrop for the 2003 Plant Engineering Product of the Year awards ceremony tonight where 46 winners will be recognized.
Products receive Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards in each of 15 categories, and the entry with the highest number of votes overall will take home the coveted Grand Award. This year, Henkel Loctite will receive top honors for it's Threadlocker Stick.
Readers determined Plant Engineering's 16th annual Product of the Year winners after a panel of judges narrowed the initial entries to 150 finalists. The November issue highlighted each finalist with a written description and photo and included a ballot for readers to select the most innovative and useful product in each category.
To be a candidate for the 2003 competition, a product must have been introduced between October 1, 2002 and September 30, 2003; be new to the world market, and be useful in the plant engineering function.
