Encoders

Surface enhancement coating

This brochure describes how TUFRAM 2000 gives aluminum and aluminum alloy surfaces superior resistance to corrosion (2,500 hours in ASTM B-117 salt spray) as well as extremely good wear resistance (Taber abrasion testing method with CS-17 wheel: 4.6 mg/10,000 cycles) under adverse conditions. It is available in sealed or unsealed versions and creates an effective dielectric barrier, remaining at a constant 2.1 for a temperature range of -250 to 550F. It also acts as an insulator and can withstand prolonged soaking in water.

Printer system
