Fresh off its release last month of DraftSight for Windows, Dassault Systèmes followed up this week with a beta release of a version for Linux. Like its no-cost 2-D CAD Windows-based predecessor, DraftSight for Linux lets users create, edit and view DWG files, and Dassault Systèmes officials said the release is timed to satisfy the recent uptick in user demand for a Linux version. A Mac version is also slated for release some time in the near future.
Beta users of this release will also gain acess to the no-cost community support available in DraftSight’s open, online SwYm social forum where customers come together to interact, ask questions and share opinions.
