Security processors

The MPC180 and MPC180e processors are designed to provide Internet protocol security by offering support for bulk data and public key encryption. The MPC180e also supports Elliptic Curve Cryptography, used in wireless applications. Such compute-intensive security algorithms can monopolize the CPU, but these processors offload the job to existing system memory.

CAM controller

The ECM010 Electronic CAM Controller is designed for use with steppers and digital input servo motors, so multi-axis systems can be reconfigured to do short run, just-in-time manufacturing jobs. It measures 6.3x6.3x0.8 inches and can be connected to 15 other controllers. Further, each CAM controller stores up to 16 CAM shapes, to minimize changeover time and cost between operations.

Processor

The VR5432(TM)microprocessor is now available in a 200MHz version. This 64-bit MIPS(R)RISC processor delivers bandwidth of 377 Dhrystone MIPS at 200MHz, which is suitable for applications in digital set-top boxes, Internet appliances, and office automation. It has floating point capability, a 64KB on-chip cache, and a 64-bit internal data bus.

Data acquisition module

The ADC-11/12 eleven-channel data acquisition module has now been improved from 10 bits to 12 bits. The matchbox-sized device connects to the parallel port of a desktop or laptop PC, and provides 11 channels of analog input, with plus or minus 0.5% accuracy and 0.61mV resolution. The accompanying PicoLog software can record at 10,000 samples/sec.

Disk on chip

The PCM-3336 is a 386SX-40-level PC/104 CPU module. Its ALi6117C CPU chipset is designed to reduce the number of chips on the board, and its C & T 65545 chips can display CRT and LCD graphics simultaneously.
