One of the biggest challenges faced by academic institutions around the world is to maintain up-to-date systems that resemble real-world applications. Engineering curricula need to combine strong traditional engineering education with the latest techniques being applied in industry.
The ANSYS Inc. Education Program provides the tools needed for student success. ANSYS is a pioneer of the engineering software solutions used by thousands of companies and over 2,000 educational institutions worldwide.
Since its inception in 1970, ANSYS Inc. has focused on the needs of educational institutions around the world. The Education Program has become very popular because of the many benefits that come along with learning one of the industry's strongest software offerings.
The Education Program offers educational institutions the opportunity to train students in one of the most widely used engineering software families. A variety of software products exist to help simulate a real-world environment, with all product offerings geared to both institutions and individuals.
Student Registry/Certification. The Student Registry Program has been developed for all engineering students, regardless of the software they use in their curricula. All members of the Student Registry Program receive a quarterly online newsletter containing information on engineering advances, the latest industry trends, and software features. Additionally, members of the Student Registry Program may be eligible for the Certification Program.
The Certification Program applies to students who receive a minimum of a B-grade (or equivalent) in a course utilizing ANSYS software. Students register for certification at www. ansys.com/education, and once approved, receive an official ANSYS Certificate and a one-year subscription to ANSYS Solutions magazine.
Upon graduation, members of the Certification Program can submit their resumes to an online job service ANSYS makes available to its commercial customers.
Education Partnership Program. The Education Partnership Program builds soft- ware development partnerships between educational institutions and ANSYS Institutions can now promote the internal development of ANSYS-derived applications, and then turn them into commercial products.
Once a commercially viable product is created, the institution can then enter the ANSYS Enhanced Solution Partner (ESP) Program, where the business details of the sale of the product are worked out. Each program has a separate agreement, crafted to benefit the interests of both parties.
Institutions that join the ANSYS Education Program receive more than just software, they receive the benefits that will help to engineer their futures. To learn more, visit www.ansys.com/education or email [email protected] .
