Adhesive

TRA-DUCT 2902 is a smooth silver filled paste, which can be applied and cured at room temperature to give electrical and thermal conductivity. It passed cytotoxicity testing using the MEM elution method and has been used in the medical device industry in the assembly of ultrasonic transducers. Curing can be at higher temperatures to decrease processing times, and bonds metals, ceramics, glass, and several plastics. As well as being biocompatible, it complies with NASA outgassing requirements.

Light cure equipment

The Light Cure Wand is a metal halide lamp system that offers light output up to 4W/cm 2, and is designed for most medical, electronic, and industrial light cure applications. The system is available with 5-mm diameter single wands or with 3-mm diameter dual wands. For higher intensity requirements, the Litepoint UVC Wand System utilizes a high-pressure mercury vapor lamp to produce up to 8W/cm 2of light output. This single wand system also has a 5-mm wand diameter.

Medical epoxy

EP 30 Medical is formulated to cure at room temperature or more quickly with elevated temperatures. It has a 4:1 mix ratio by weight and contains no solvents or diluents. It is reported to have good resistance to chemicals, water, oil, most organic solvents, cold sterilants, and ETO and gamma radiation. It meets USP Class VI specifications, for a variety of uses on reusable and disposable medical devices.

Metal cutting

Burr-free cutting of small diameter metal tubes, solid wire, and rods to precise lengths and with surface finishes as smooth as 1 inch is available. Stainless steel and other metals can be cut in diameters as small as 0.003 inch, to lengths as short as 0.01 inch, with tolerances to plus or minus 0.0002 inch. In-house support services include centerless grinding as small as 0.005 inch diameters, lapping, and continuous, or discrete laser-based micrometer quality checking.

Fume hoods

The UniFlow air bypass walk-in hood is suited for synthesis, distillation and other rack type operations where tall apparatus is used and equipment is rolled into the work area. The hood is constructed of advanced composite materials that reflect light while minimizing glare. The liner has a smooth, non-porous surface for efficient airflow, reduced chemical discoloration, and easier cleaning. The working interior depths measure 30, 42, or 48 inches, depending on model.

Instrument cart

This RiLab Instrument Cart features four lock-in-place twin castors, an easy transport handle, a six-plug power strip, and a height adjustable utility shelf. Miniature core pins

Custom engineered specialty core pins, precision ground from M-2 steel and stainless steels for moldmaking applications in the medical industry are available in sizes as small as 0.01 inch diameter and lengths from 1/2 to 8 inches. Connectors

These high-temperature-resistant thermoplastic circular connectors and molded cable assemblies are intended for sterile medical applications. Catheter bonding

The CTH line of adhesives was formulated to provide 100% solvent-free, cost-saving assembly solutions for catheter manufacturing. They are USP Class VI approved and cure with visible light as well as UV light, resulting in reported cure time reductions of up to 50%. Pilot balloons

Pilot balloons are used to indicate that inflation balloon catheters inserted into the human body are performing properly. The inflation medium (saline or air) is injected through a check valve sealed within the pilot balloon. The pilot is attached to the medical device with a 0.04 IDx0.08 OD inflation lumen, which can be of varying length. The company employs a Liquid Injection Molding (LIM) process to produce these customized assemblies.

Screw covers
