On October 17 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., show attendees will find several career-focused offerings in the new Career Connections program. This new expo floor experience offers education and networking for attendees aiming to enhance their professional careers or start their journeys.

“Advanced Manufacturing Minneapolis’s Career Connections program aims to support the continued growth of Minnesota’s already vibrant and vital talent and engineering communities with networking, insights on being hired, and advancement tools like complimentary professional headshots, and resume reviews,” Suzanne Deffree, group event director, Advanced Manufacturing Minneapolis, tells Design News. “It’s our privilege to be able to provide this to Minnesota, a state in which manufacturing employees nearly number 325,000 and that expects a 7% increase in engineering jobs (2023-2033).”

Here’s what attendees can find on October 17:

  • Careers & Coffee: Network with peers and local leaders from 2 – 3 p.m.

  • Resume Reviews: Have your resume reviewed by an expert, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., by appointment (sign up at table CC8)*

Career Connections is presented in partnership with SciTech Internship Program, SPE Medical Plastics, University of Minnesota, Urban League Twin Cities, and Build Wealth.

Advanced Manufacturing Minneapolis is also continuing its Tomorrow’s Leaders program, which kicked off in 2023 to support the Minnesota career force. This by-invitation program offers local professionals emerging in the manufacturing and engineering industries, ranging from high school students to emerging professionals (college students or engineers with less than 5 years of professional experience):

  • Expo floor tour, with exhibitor & supplier introductions at the event

  • Peer networking lunch hosted at the event

  • And additional event features

The Tomorrow’s Leaders program will start at 9 a.m. on October 17 and is by invitation only for registered attendees. For more information on the Tomorrow’s Leaders program, contact Barbara West.
