Gadget Freak of the Year Reader Vote: Round 3

It was another tight race in Round 2 of our annual Gadget Freak of the Year contest, sponsored by Allied Electronics, but one project came out on top and will join the winner of Round 1, Al Linke, in the final round.

Thomas Byrne's TempBug - Internet-Connected Thermometer garnered the majority of the votes in Round 2. So, who will join Al and Thomas in the final round, set to begin January 5? Watch the following four videos presented in the slideshow (and check out the related project) and then cast your vote. In two weeks, we will present four more projects for you to vote on, eventually crowning a winner.

The winner will be named Gadget Freak of the Year, and will win a check for $6,000. Two runners-up will be awarded $2,000 each.

Round 3:
