Alongside its product and service innovations, Hasco (Lüdenscheid, Germany) now offers its customers a portal where they can access all the company’s products, innovations and services 24/7 from anywhere in the world. An especially interesting feature is the practical moldmaking assistant, which can be called up directly on the start page and leads to a fully configured mold in only five steps.
Hasco has added a layout editor to the moldmaking assistant, opening up new possibilities for fast and easy designs. By simply dragging and dropping mold elements, the intuitively operated graphic surface allows the rapid configuration of molding tools tailored to specific applications.
Graphic interaction guides the user through the configuration process, facilitating the addition of plates and stripper packages and removal of mold elements from the mold layout. Possible positions for mold parts are highlighted so that only feasible combinations of moldmaking elements can be created.
Added mold elements such as double ejector assemblies, riser packages and stripper blocks offer the user further possibilities for customization of the mold design. Single mold halves can also be configured with the new layout editor.
After the layout has been produced, the moldmaking process can be carried out with the moldmaking assistant in just a few steps, including full selection of the dimensions and materials, plus all components and accessory elements. The system automatically generates part lists with individual cost calculations. The CAD data can be downloaded in a variety of formats.
