World's fastest microdrive

ABB Drive Operations has unveiled the "world's fastest microdrive," the ACS/140. The unit covers from 0.5 to 3 hp, as well as 230 and 460V ac, in single- and three-phase configurations. It can respond to input signal changes in as little as 9 msecs. Measuring just a fraction of the size of conventional PWM ac drives, the new ACS/140 MicroDrive includes firmware and software for commercial and industrial applications. Applications include: fans, pumps, mixers, agitators, compressors, and conveyors. It also features a standard PID controller for simultaneous control of an industrial process or HVAC application.
