Carbon fiber-reinforced polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is a corrosion-resistant thermoplastic material that is as strong as steel. The material is reinforced with carbon fiber to allow for increased strength properties at elevated temperatures. With a tensile strength of 300,000 psi and operating temperatures of 525F, the carbon fiber-reinforced PEEK prevents galling and seizure.
