SP high-speed gear reducer

Friday, August 25, 2000

The SP high-speed gearbox reduces no-load running torque and can be run up to 4,500 rpm in continuous operations. It is designed to mount directly to servo motors running continuous-duty cycles. Operating at a lower temperature than the servo motor, the gear reducer acts as a heat sink to draw heat from the servo. Reported advantages include: longer and faster servo motor operation, and decreased maintenance costs due to the cooler temperature. Additional advantages to the SP series include: interchangeable adapter plates, single-piece housing construction, thermal expansion compensation, and dual-tapered ouput roller bearings.
