Vinyl Products

Vinyl and dip-molded caps, plugs, and custom molding products are available in a variety of textures, shapes, sizes, and colors. The products are high temperature-resistant, and molded from flexible vinyl to ensure tight, durable protective closures. Custom or standard parts are available for powder coating, painting, or plating operations.

Diaphragm

The TheraPEPr positive expiratory pressure (PEP) therapy system is for PEP secretion clearance therapy, and features a diaphragm with low hysteresis responsive at low pressure ranges. Because of the need for accurate repeatability, the diaphragm had to meet tight dimensional tolerances. For these reasons, the diaphragm features thin walls, and is formulated of an all-rubber silicone material developed by the company. The material also meets medical device guidelines.

Resistors

The LRK Series of ultra-low resistance thick film resistors is for current-sensing circuits in portable electronic devices such as laptop computers. The surface-mount resistors are part of the family of "flip chip" devices, which are terminated on one side only for face-down mounting on the pc-board. Ultra-low resistance values required for precision current-sensing circuits are achieved through a four-terminal design. The resistors are constructed with a thick-film resistive element on a ceramic substrate with four terminations.

Valves

Series PS pilot-operated, normally closed solenoid valves are for process liquid applications requiring high flow capacity and pressure capability. With inlet pressure ratings to 140 psi and back pressures to 70 psi, these valves can be used to control flow to spray nozzles, high-pressure chemical injections, and similar applications. Constructed of rugged thermoplastic, the valves are resistant to both internal and atmospheric corrosion and have a cycle life in excess of 1 million cycles.

Workstations

The TDZ 2000 3D graphics workstation product line includes models that target the needs of users running 2D and mainstream 3D applications including digital content creation, animation, visual stimulation, and mechanical CAD. All TDZ 2000 models are powered by single or dual 300/333- Mhz Pentium II processors and feature high-throughput disk subsystems, high-speed memory, and support for multiple displays.

Coating process

MAGNAGOLD-MMr is an addition to the MAGNAGOLDr family of surface-enhancement coatings applied using a proprietary physical vapor deposition (PVD) titanium nitrate (TiN) process performed in a vacuum chamber. Among the coated components are industrial diamonds so small that 500 can be held in the palm of the hand. The coating process is targeted for use in food and beverage applications.

Microcontroller

The 68HC16Z3 16-bit microcontroller features a RTEC^TM operating system kernel on-chip and is for real-time control applications. A streamlined version of the RTEK kernel fits into the 68HC16Z3's 8 Kbytes of ROM, and provides 94 services to manage program tasks and resources such as the CPU, memory, and time. The kernel also enables real-time data manipulation and provides a common application programming interface (API) for all related tasks. Included with the RTEK developers kit is RTEKgen^TM, a graphical system generation program that simplifies system configuration.

Productivity tool

MoldDesign^TM generates mold base designs directly from 3D solid model parts, automating the process of designing plastic and high-pressure aluminum injection molds. MoldDesign uses rules-based technology and parametric libraries to generate fully detailed 3D solid models of the mold from the original part. Users can choose from a catalog of components, such as plates, leader pins, bushings, and ejectors, that MoldDesign will use in generating an injection mold base.

Software library

The PICmicro^TM plug-in software library provides users with a library of callable assembly routines which emulate microcontroller peripherals and specialty functions in software, such as 16-bit math routines, RS-232/I²C^TM/SPI^TM communications, analog-to-digital conversion, zero-crossing detect, and pulse width modulation. The library supports the company's PIC12C5XX and PIC16C5X microcontroller families.

Software

ELESTO is a 20 stress/strain solver with a fully integrated 2D CAD system, on-line help, multiple material options, and numerous post-processing functions such as displacement, stress/strain, vector components, and tensor analysis. Applications include stress in mechanical and electrical equipment; thermal stress in sensors, actuators, motors, and cooling systems; stress of parts and assemblies subject to electrical or mechanical loading; and automotive components.

Pc card receptacle

The 68-position pc card receptacle with ground clip features a flexible contact tail forming which offers alternatives for custom applications. The durable contact design withstands repeated card insertions in excess of 10,000 cycles. Materials are compatible with high-temperature soldering processes, and the insulator is a UL 94V-O rated LCP. The contacts and ground clips are made of a copper alloy and have a gold flash with more than 40 microinches of palladium nickel plating on all mating surfaces.

Software

Working Modelr 3D 3.0 mechanical engineering simulation software offers full associativity with CAD packages and the ability to export fully functioning models to World Wide Web pages for remote design collaboration. The software features Working Model Automatic Load Transfer^TM technology, which enables users to link Working Model with FEA packages to determine if parts will fail. The software also features the ability to post a fully animated simulation to a web page and view it with any web browser.

Software

SIGMAPLOT scientific graphing and analysis software is for Windows 3.1, 95, and NT. The software's technical graphing flexibility allows the creation of customized presentation style graphs, and all graph attributes can be customized including specifying technical axis scales and distinct colors, sizes, and symbols for each data point. SIGMAPLOT's Graph Wizard leads the user though creating a technical graph step-by-step. Data analysis tools include a built-in mathematical transform language and a curve fitting feature.

Keyboards

Series 8000 NEMA 4X keyboards are for desktop, rack mount, or panel mount applications. The keyboards are available with a built-in NEMA 4X Industrial Mouser pointing device, and are compatible with all popular computers and workstations. The silicone rubber keyboard's environmental sealing eliminates moisture and dirt contamination, which can cause keyboard failure.
