In Brief: Power Transmission and Motion Control

Toko America Inc. has introduced the TK75050 smart MOSFET driver IC as a non-inverting buffer to drive high-power insulated-gate transistors. The TK-75050 incorporates thermal protection; cycle-by-cycle, current-limiting, and short-circuit protection; and under-voltage lockout.

Trantorquer QCTM is a tapered keyless bushing from Fenner Drives that simplifies the installation and positioning of synchronous belt sprockets bored for QD bushings, the company says. Directly interchangeable with the QD bushing, Trantorque QC is available in bore sizes ranging from 1/2 inch to 21/4 inches, depending on the series. The bushing uses a single locking nut to draw a tapered outer sleeve against a tapered inner collet.

The M6 Series of wound field motors from RAE Corp. provides 1/60 to 1/10 hp and can be manufactured as either an ac or dc series or a dc-only shunt-wound motor. Uses include ac applications requiring a medium amount of torque in a compact design. The motor can deliver speeds up to 5,000 rpm at load and up to 20,000 rpm at no load.

The SMTBD1 digital servoamplifier with CAN bus communication from Infranor Inc. is for systems where the drive is to be more fully integrated into the control system. The SMTBD1 features a compact design, and CAN bus provides a high level of data security at low cost, the company says. The system offers high noise immunity, and no digital/analog conversion is necessary.
