Alen Corp.'s green AirMD air purifier is certified lead-free, ozone safe and Energy Star qualified by both the EPA and the U.S. Dept. of Energy. "We are offering the first green lead-free air purifier in the United States that is Energy Star qualified," says Peter Mann, CEO of Alen Corp. "Energy Star rated products - such as the AirMD - can save about a third on energy bills with similar savings of greenhouse gas emissions." The AirMD weighs 17 lb and stands 2 ft high. It has a power consumption of 55W that runs a four-speed motor and a UV lamp that is designed to last three to five years.
