The TheraPEP(reg) positive expiratory pressure (PEP) therapy system is for PEP secretion clearance therapy, and features a diaphragm with low hysteresis responsive at low pressure ranges. Because of the need for accurate repeatability, the diaphragm had to meet tight dimensional tolerances. For these reasons, the diaphragm features thin walls, and is formulated of an all-rubber silicone material developed by the company. The material also meets medical device guidelines.
