VIVID 700 3D non-contact, portable color digitizing system converts objects into 3D coordinates and color texture data for input into a workstation. This digitizing method eliminates the need for tape and pen-type sensors. Zoom and auto-focus functions define the target object. Utility software is included and enables a user to select specific points on the target object to be viewed, modified, molded, or scaled. Applications include computer graphics, 3D games, virtual reality, industrial design, and rapid prototyping.
