With the 4th of July upon us, towns big and small across the US will once again engage in an almost never-ending round of pyrotechnic displays that will draw plenty of oohs and aahs. The largest, most well-known fireworks displays, such as the Macy’s 4th of July Display in New York, make it a point to outdo previous displays with bigger, better, and more colorful patterns each year.

But the Macy’s 4th of July display may not hold a candle to some of the largest fireworks shells shot off. On the YouTube channel Crash Alert, a video titled “Top 5 Biggest Fireworks Shells in the World” documents the largest firework shells ever shot according to the Guiness Book of World Records. The shells were shot off at various events and not necessarily U.S. Independence Day events.

Do you think these are the most spectacular individual fireworks you’ve ever seen? View the video and judge for yourself.
