Since its inception over 10 years ago, the RISC-V processor instruction set and supporting platforms have grown into a global phenomenon. According to Gartner, the RISC-V foundation now has 450 members, covering major players from the hardware, software, semiconductor, and IT industries like Alibaba, Google, Huawei, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, STMicroelectronics, Micron, Western Digital, and Microchip. In addition, several technology heavyweights, organizations, and governments have announced their plan of adopting RISC-V.
