The Technical Program Committee for ARM TechCon 2017 is now accepting technical session proposals for the conference, which will take place October, 24-26, in Santa Clara, CA. Designers, engineers, and developers are encouraged to submit their proposals for technical presentations or panels for the three-day event.
The world’s largest ARM event, ARM TechCon facilitates the collaboration between hardware and software communities with the goal of creating a more integrated and collaborative design environment. The event, managed by Design News’ parent company UBM, brings together hardware engineers, software developers, and system architects working across a broad range of applications, from mobile devices, to automobiles, to servers. ARM TechCon provides highly-technical informational sessions and offers networking opportunities for those working on ARM-based products, showcasing innovative design techniques and deep technical dives on how to solve the latest design challenges.
The eight technical tracks for the 2017 will cover:
- Embedded Software Development
- Silicon Design
- Automotive, Industrial & Functions Safety
- Computer Vision, Machine Learning & Graphics
- Networking, Infrastructure & Servers
- High-Efficiency Systems
- Internet of Things
- Trust & Security
A description of each track can be found at armtechcon.com/call-for-proposals/.
Speakers are invited to discuss design ideas, applications, design advancements, process improvements, and innovative products based on ARM technology. To be accepted, proposals must be technical and educational in nature as well as non-commercial.
Proposals must be submitted by May 19, 2017, through the electronic portal – note that this is a hard deadline, which we do not plan to extend. Sessions last 50 minutes and can be framed as a technical session or panel discussion. All proposals will be reviewed by the ARM TechCon Technical Program Committee (TPC) made up of ARM experts from a variety of industry-leading companies and academic institutions. The TPC will evaluate submissions based on quality, relevance, impact, and originality. Accepted proposals will require the presenter to submit slides and to prepare a presentation for ARM TechCon 2017.
