There was a time when truck manufacturers bragged about torque and horsepower. Not so at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show.
This year, truck manufacturers emphasized electronic intelligence and luxury. Adaptive cruise control, collision warning systems, and automatic emergency braking headed the list, but safety wasn’t the only theme. Other features included park assist systems, huge touchscreens, 10-way adjustable seating, satellite radios, leather seats, and a multitude of other creature comforts.
To be sure, trucks weren’t the only theme. Mazda rolled out a striking new Miata, while Volkswagen and Subaru unveiled innovative new models.
Here, we’ve collected photos of the latest and greatest from the Chicago Auto Show. From flashy sports cars to tricked out trucks.
