Integrated processor

Designed for high-volume, PCI-based embedded communications applications, the RC32334 combines the RC32300 CPU core architecture, operating up to 150 MHz, with a PCI bus interface operating up to 66 MHz; a flexible memory controller; and standard general-purpose systems modules, including a DMA controller, interrupt controller, and serial ports. The CPU is reportedly capable of 197 dhrystone MIPS at 150 MHz giving designers the option of implementing functions in software that previously were only possible with hardware solutions.

Tagging device

The MCRF355 13.56 MHz read-only tagging device is available in a chip-on-board package module. It is designed to offer the lowest power consumption and longest read range at the lowest cost in the 13.56 MHz market. It is also reported to have the fastest data communication rate (70 Hz) of any 13.56 MHz device. The unit includes two 68 pF, high-Q resonant capacitors, which let the user take advantage of the cloaking feature without having to lay out and connect coils.

Distributed I/O

ArmorBlock I/O is an industrially hardened, distributed I/O that combines an adapter, power supply, and I/O into one industrially sealed package. Since it is hardened and completely self-contained, wiring requirements are reported to be minimal, and enclosures are not needed. With solid-state outputs capable of up to 10A each, the I/O is designed to expand the capabilities of a distributed I/O system, and eliminate the need and costs associated with interposing relays.

Ac inverter

Pacesetter(TM)Nano series ac inverters reportedly feature the industry's smallest footprint for a 1 hp programmable drive: 2.88x4.64 inches. Eight models of the DIN rail mountable inverters cover 115V ac or 230V ac 50/60 Hz inputs and 1/4, 1/2, and 1 hp outputs. Motor speed can be controlled by the inverter's built-in keypad, an external speed potentiometer, or analog signal. The unit is designed to assure quiet operation with adjustable carrier frequency up to 16 kHz.

Force sensor

Piezoelectric type 9602A force sensor with integrated charge amplifier electronics supply a voltage signal proportional to the applied force, which can be directly evaluated and processed by a machine control system. The versions for one or three orthogonal force components are designed for use in a harsh industrial environment and comply with the degree of protection IP67 and 68 respectively. Typical areas of application include process monitoring of metalworking machines, presses, and forming machines.

Safety interlock switches

Series AZ16 3-contact interlock switches for movable machine guards feature "positive-break" NC contacts, which upon actuator key withdrawal, are designed to be positively-open to assure circuit interruption. The NC contact cannot remain closed due to welding or failure of a spring-opening mechanism. Also, the stainless steel actuator key's geometry resists tampering or deliberate bypassing with simple tools and bent wires.

Sensor-actuator boxes

M12 distributor boxes, with pluggable master cables, are designed to enable quick replacement of a box and the disconnection of the master cable for assembly or transport purposes. The master cable is connected to the distributor box with the easy-mount connection via mini Combicon connectors. Reportedly as a result, the cable can be adapted to the environment and fabricated directly on site. With different connection hoods, the box can is available with either a horizontal or vertical cable output.
