Rigid couplings offer high torque capacity with zero backlash. Two-piece couplings, available with or without keyways and with different-diameter bores in both metric and inch sizes, have opposing hardware that improves dynamic balance.
Full-depth keyways provide full torque capacity and a reliable fit, while forged sockets increase torquability. To compensate for shafts that vary slightly from nominal size, a crosscut design allows for clamping each shaft individually.
