Arm announced the winners of their Innovation Awards this week during Arm TechCon (October 24-26 in Santa Clara, CA). These products were each chosen to exemplify excellence in one three categories: Best Contribution to an Open-Source Software Project, Best Use of Advanced Technologies, and Best Contribution to IoT Security.
All of the finalists and winners demonstrated their products to event attendees by participating in tours of the show floor and ultra-fast product descriptions in the Lightning Talks.
And the winners are:
Best Contribution to an Open-Source Software Project
Enterprise Reference Platform, LinaroThe goal of the Linaro Enterprise Reference Platform is to provide a fully tested, end to end, documented, open source implementation for Arm-based enterprise servers. The Reference Platform includes boot firmware, a common kernel, a community-supported user space and additional relevant open-source projects. The Platform is built and tested on Linaro Enterprise Group members’ hardware and the Linaro Developer Cloud.
Best Use of Advanced Technology
Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC, Xilinx
Xilinx is enabling a whole new level of design and commercialization for nextgeneration RF-based applications with its Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC product line, creating a new device with game-changing capabilities. Based on the leading-edge 16nm FinFET+ process node, Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoCs integrate RF-quality analog with FPGA logic and a multi-core, multi-processing Arm subsystem.
Best Contribution to IoT Security
Walnut Digital Signature Algorithm and Ironwood Key Agreement Protocol, SecureRF Corporation
WalnutDSA and Ironwood KAP are public-key, quantum-resistant security solutions that provide authentication, identification, and data protection for constrained devices. Small, fast, and ultra-low-energy, these methods are well suited for securing 8-, 16-, and 32-bit devices like Arm Cortex-M0/M3 processors.
