The SEMA trade show is the Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association's annual gathering in Las Vegas where custom car builders and the specialty parts suppliers that provide the hardware they use to modify cars gather annually to show off their latest work.

SEMA says the show includes thousands of product innovations from new and iconic exhibitors, the latest product and custom vehicle trends, and more than 70 free professional skill-enhancing education sessions.

There are more than 1,300 exhibiting companies representing the $47.8 billion automotive aftermarket, with 30,000 industry participants attending the show, which is not open to the general public.

Carmakers showcase the work of their own engineers as well as the creations of third-party tuners to highlight the customization possibilities of their vehicles. Click through the gallery to see some of this year's batch.
