The Lamborghini Urraco debuted a half-century ago at the 1970 Turin Motor Show and went into production in 1973. The car was designed to expand Lamborghini's model line, with a lower-cost, higher-volume V8-powered model. The company built 776 Urracos between 1973 and 1979 as a forerunner to today's much more popular V10 Lamborghini junior model, the Huracan.
