Oriental Motor has launched the new OVR Series of small industrial robots, powered by the αSTEP Hybrid AZ Series step-servo motors. These versatile robots are designed to expand automation operations.

Users can pair them with the MRC controller family for seamless control and programming. The MRC01-C cartesian robot controller is designed for hassle-free control of cartesian robots, while the intuitive MRC studio software offers comprehensive pre-programming, testing, and maintenance capabilities.

The OVR Series features three robot types:

  • Articulated robots: Affordable and efficient 4, 5, or 6-axis models for versatile horizontal transport in compact spaces

  • SCARA robots: Compact 3-axis designs for navigating narrow workspaces

  • Cartesian robots: Pre-assembled with three linear slides for simplified setup and reduced labor time

Integrated MRCU robot controller and drivers

The MRCU Series integrated robot controller combines the MRC01 controller and up to 6 AZ Series mini-drivers in a single compact unit, streamlining wiring and saving space. It supports EtherNet/IP or I/O connectivity, making it an ideal choice for the OVR Series or AZ Series DC input actuators.

The key features of the MRC01-C cartesian robot controller include a 3-step programming process, direct EtherNet/IP control without ladder logic, and the ability to test using the free MRC Studio simulator software.
