RING INDEX DRIVES

Three different sizes

The company's family of ring index drives, models 1100RNG, 1550RNG, and 2050RNG, feature larger through-holes to accommodate a range of automated machinery and equipment, including electrical wiring and air or hydraulic lines. They are ideally suited for pad printing and decorating equipment and for automatic assembly machines that require a large number of workstations. Features include direct shaft-mounted motorized drive package with reducer and brake-motor combinations to suit any application. Industrial Motion Control http://rbi.ims.ca/4394-587

PLUG-IN BOARD

Direct attachment

Designed for the company's DMC-21×3 series of Ethernet motion controllers, the AMP-20542 Low Inductance Servo Motor option attaches directly to the 96-pin connector, eliminating the need for any cabling. The option contains four transconductance, PWM amplifiers for driving small, low-inductance brush or brushless servomotors. Each amplifier operates at 18-60V dc at up to 3.3A continuous, 5A peak. MINIATURE SLIDES

Four sizes available

The company's miniature slides, type LZM, are engineered as complete and compact assemblies for linear motion applications where short strokes are required and space for system components is minimal. They offer high carrying capacity, smooth motion, and precision guidance for a variety of applications. Ideal applications include fiber optics, medical, pneumatics, semiconductor, microassembly, and electronics industries, among others. They are available in four sizes: 7, 9, 12, and 15. Widths range from 17-32 mm, and lengths range from 26-165 mm. SKF Motion Technologieshttp://rbi.ims.ca/4394-589

ROTARY STAGES

Ultralow profile

The ACS LP Series ultralow profile rotary stage with integrated ER collet chuck provides automated material handling capability for a variety of materials and applications. ER collets are designed to provide excellent run-out characteristics for applications requiring high-precision gripping of tubular material. The collet is retained with a threaded retaining cap that enables quick changeover, and is configured in a "fail safe" normally closed mode where full clamping force is applied when no air pressure is present. SERVO AMPLIFIER

With DTS control

Designed to allow users to easily integrate the latest developments in sinusoidal motion control and its benefits into applications, the TA320 linear three-phase servo amplifier features very low electrical noise, making it ideal for integration in or near systems that have noise-sensitive circuitry. The 700W continuous (1400W peak) product can be configured to accept two sinusoidal commutations separated by 120 degrees with the third phase generated by the amplifier. It also features DTS control. TrustAutomationhttp://rbi.ims.ca/4394-591

STEP MOTOR

With eight leads

The company's high-torque, NEMA 42, 1.8 degree, step 2 phase hybrid step motor features a holding torque that reaches 180 inches/lb in a 4.3-inch square by 5.91-inch long package size. It is supplied with eight leads that allow it to be energized in unipolar, bipolar series, or bipolar parallel connection configurations. It weighs 18.5 lbs with a rotor inertia of 0.097 lb-inch-sec2. Single angle accuracy is within ± 5 percent of a full step in an unloaded condition. Gee Plus Inc.http://rbi.ims.ca/4394-592

EQUIPMENT PLATFORMS

Vibration isolation

The company's 9300 Series of equipment platforms are engineered to isolate large sensitive equipment from surrounding floor vibrations. It is configurable for a range of applications, including vibration isolation for SEMS, TEMS, CMMs, steppers, and mask aligners. It offers omnidirectional, ultra-low frequency vibration damping and automatic leveling while raising equipment just inches off the floor. Platform stiffness is comparable to that of a 3-inch plate of solid steel at approximately one-third the weight. Kinetic Systems Inc.http://rbi.ims.ca/4394-593

AC GEARMOTORS

Fan cooled

The 880 series of gearmotors are available in five gear ratios ranging from 5.8:1 to 42.8:1. They produce up to 1,060 inch/lbs of continuous duty torque. The products are totally enclosed and fan cooled, making them ideal for a variety of applications, including food preparation, chemical mixers, automatic feeders, and packing equipment. Each feature permanently lubricated shielded bearings that have been preloaded to reduce end play, and a dynamically balanced rotor shaft for smooth running. ROTARY ACTUATOR

For easy implementation

Employing both high-load capacities and many technological advances, the company's SRU rotary actuator features innovative piston guidance using sleeves in the optimized aluminum housing. The radial clamped end stop adjustments are designed to easily access and fully adjust to rotation angles from 0 to 180 degrees. The housing is light and has mounting patterns on both the bottom and side for easy implementation. Bore sizes range from diameter 20 to 60 mm. Schunk Inc. http://rbi.ims.ca/4394-595

LINEAR GUIDANCE SYSTEM

For a variety of operations

The Speedi-Roll linear guidance system is suited for applications requiring long strokes and/or high speeds. Typical applications for the lightweight cam roller rail guide system include equipment used for automation, pick-and-place, robotics operations, packaging, material handling, and vending, among others. It offers high load-carrying capacity, rigidity, and torque resistance. It is designed to operate effortlessly and quietly. SKF Motion Technologieshttp://rbi.ims.ca/4394-596

SERVO CONTROL SYSTEM

With 16,000 count/revolution encoders

The 34 Frame I-Grade SilverNugget N3 controller/driver is designed for servo control of the company's NEMA 34-frame step motors. Also included in the system is one of six 34-frame step motors with attached encoder. The 34 frame I-Grade motor/encoders range in torque from 500 to over 3,200 oz-inch. All have 16,000 count/revolution encoders. The system handles inertial mismatches of 100:1, making it fit for direct-driving large loads in applications such as labeling, packaging, and web handling.
