Vortex Shedding Flow Meters

Parker Fluid ControlDivision's new line of Vortex Shedding Flow Meters monitor the flowof cooling fluid for resistance welders, slurry pump seal water, machinecoolant and steam boiler feed water. Parker Flow Meters can be used for coolingwater to furnace walls and inductors in steel mills; cooling boiler feed pumpsand turbine bearing cooling in power generation plants; as well as for rubber, mining, municipal wastewater treatment and water addition in chemical andprocess applications.

Parker Flow Meters featureno moving parts to clog or wear out, providing life-long reliability andrequiring little maintenance. The meters operate with NPT ports ranging from .25- 2 inch in size and can handle flows from 4 - 200 GPM, with occasionalover-ranging up to 125 percent of capacity without damaging the meter. ParkerFlow Meters feature 4-20 mA flow rate transmitters and can withstand workingpressures from 10 - 300 PSIG. They are designed to operate efficiently at fluidand ambient temperatures from 35 - 150F. CSA- and CE-certified, the flow metersare built with a stainless steel or bronze body with PVDF sensors and FKMseals. The company supplies standard units equipped with a solid state relay, which customers can set to a pulse output or a flow alarm. User-friendlythree-digit LED displays make the meters easy to use, and can customize theproduct by selecting between GPM or LPM units of measurement.

The flow meters require 10 -30V dc @ 80 mA input power, attached via pin connectors and are compatible withfemale NPT pipe connections. Parker Fluid Control Division offers a two-yearwarranty on this product line. These rugged inline flow meters are solutionsfor applications utilizing water, water/glycol coolant and other low-viscosityfluids.
