SpiraxSarco Inc.'s UTM10 is an ultrasonicclamp-on flow and energy meter. This unit has the ability to measure liquidswith small amounts of suspended solids or aeration in line sizes from half andinch to 80 inches. It provides accurate and repeatable flow measurementreadings for full pipe liquid applications such as cooling lines, liquidcondensate, water distribution and processes where system shutdown isimpossible.

TheUTM10 is designed to clamp onto the outside of existing pipes withoutcontacting fluids. There is no need to shut down the process for installationor maintenance, therefore the UTM10 can be fully operational in minutes. Withno moving parts, there is no mechanical wear; no repair kits or replacementparts are ever needed.

TheUTM10 features a rugged, compact aluminum enclosure, easy-to-read digitaldisplay, bi-directional flow measurement, and a totalized featuring forward, reverseand net total, and Modbus communications. An optional Ethernet connection isavailable as well as a programming port. USP, a Windows based software utilityallows users to easily configure, calibrate, and troubleshoot the UTM with anyWindows based PC.

Thisunit is available in two versions: a stand-alone flow meter and an energy flowmeter used in conjunction with dual clamp-on RTDs. The energy flow metermeasures energy usage in BTU or Tons and is excellent for chilled water andother HVAC applications.
