ACS Motion Control's SPiiPlus UDMnt is an EtherCAT slaveUniversal Drive Module that directly drives one or two axes. The UniversalDrive Module operates as an EtherCAT slave device to any SPiiPlus EtherCATmaster controller. The SPiiPlus UDMnt supports ac servo, dc brushless, dcbrush, closed and open loop 2- and 5-phase step motors. UDMnt devices can belinked together on a network, allowing up to 32 axes of fully coordinatedcontrol.

The SPiiPlus UDMnt is available ina 5, 10 or 20A peak current rating at up to 60V dc bus voltage, and hasdedicated encoder and limit inputs as well as general purpose I/O and robustfault protection. The drive performs real-time control of position, velocityand current at a 20kHz update rate for each axis.
