Every couple of years we take a look at the data that shows which engineering schools are producing graduates with the highest out-of-the-chute pay and mid-career compensation. Again, we turn to PayScale.com for the most recent data. This year we decided to look at the top 20 schools to offer a broader look at how engineering schools are stacking up pay-wise.
One of the interesting things about this survey is that it’s data-based with no subjective judgement calls. PayScale looks at its large pool of salary data to determine which schools have produced the highest paid engineers. Because of this, we’re seeing some institutions that we don’t always see topping the “best engineering schools” lists.
