Siemens' Sinamics G110Ddrive platform is the latest solution in the company's Totally IntegratedAutomation (TIA) portfolio. The Sinamics G110D combines improved functionality,increased energy efficiency, a smaller footprint, lower total cost-of-ownershipand enhanced usability in a single drive. Offered as an economically-priceddrive with improved features, the Sinamics G110D includes integratedplug-and-play power and control for easier installation and an optionalIntelligent Operator Panel (IOP) for text application setup in a reducedfootprint. The IOP further assists the machine operator with control, as wellas alarm status alerts and resolution advice.

The Sinamics G110Dincludes an optional power disconnect switch and the IP65 metal housingenclosure has a low profile for easier mounting near the motor, with no drivecabinet required, for further space savings. The Sinamics G110D is suitable foreither direct communication with a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) orcontrol via I/O inputs. AS-Interface bus configuration and optional maintenanceand manual-auto switch are incorporated into the drive, making it easy tointegrate with other hardware in an overall control schematic. Integrated brakecontrol and quick stop functions provide a higher degree of reliability inheavy-load operations.

The Sinamics G110D isuseful for installation in close proximity to motors located throughoutfacilities where dust and water ingression are a concern. Applications for thisnew drive range from material handling or packaging conveyors and airport baggagecarousels - to pumps, fans, compressors and other industrial equipment.
