For engineers in need of information on adhesives, the Adhesive And Sealant Council, Inc. (www.ascouncil.org) is presenting a short course on pressure-sensitive adhesives November 10-11 in Cincinnati. The course will provide information on testing, formulation issues, raw material considerations, and surface chemistry, among other subjects.
Lecturers will speak on surface energetics and contact angles, how to make an emulsion pressure-sensitive adhesive, basic polymer viscoelasticity, and coating of an emulsion pressure-sensitive adhesive. There will also be a roundtable discussion on problem solving.
