The Kontron KT690/mITX (BGA) comes with soldered AMD singlecore Sempron210U (TDP 15 W) or AMD Dualcore Turion Neo X2 L325 processors (TDP 18 W). Forindividual projects in large quantities the motherboards are available with upto eight different processors which can be selected to suit customer-specificneeds. All versions are designed for the temperature range of 0 to +60C andinclude new solid capacitators that have been integrated to increase long-termstability. The Kontron embedded Mini-ITX motherboard KT690/mITX (BGA) is suited to a wide range of cost sensitiveembedded applications, primarily in areas such as gaming, digital signage,POS/POI, medical technology and industrial and Panel PCs. Applications which require decreasedtime-to-market and special government certifications, such as those found ingaming or medical, will benefit from Kontrona euro ~s comprehensive lifecycle management and process certifications,such as ISO 13485.

The Kontron KT6090/mITX (BGA) is available with the AMD Sempron 210U or Turion Neo X2 L325 BGA processors paired withthe AMD M690E and SB600 chipset. Two DDR2 sockets support up to16 Gbyte of RAM. The integrated ATIRadeon X1250 graphics processorallows the motherboard to control two displays independently. For VGA, themaximum resolution is 2048 x 1536 pixels and 1920 x 1200 for LVDS and DVI-D.Kontron offers low profile PCI-Express add-on cards to implement an additionalindependent DVI (Kontron PCIe-DVI) or HDMI (Kontron PCIe-DVI-HDMI) interfaces.For security-critical applications, like slot machines or medical PCs, aTrusted Platform Module (TPM) is available. Application-specific extensions canbe implemented via the 1x PCIe x8, 1x mini PCI Express and 1x PCI slot.Additionally, there are 2 x Gigabit Ethernet connections executed via adedicated Intel Ethernet controller, 10 x USB 2.0 (6x external, 4x internal),2x PS2 for mouse and keyboard, 1x parallel port, 2 x RS232 and 8 channel GPIO.The embedded motherboard also has 4x SATA 150/300 with RAID 0/1/10 and 1xATA133. 7.1 HD Audio rounds off the feature set.

The Kontron embeddedMini-ITX motherboard KT690/mITX (BGA) supports the complete Microsoft Windowsfamily, including the new Windows Embedded Standard 7. Kontron offers supportfor Linux and VxWorks 6.8 (U210 only) and Coreboot.Whichever operating system the OEM selects, an extensive range of software tools is available for thehardware management to speed development and time to market.
